Analysts are forecasting
that the need for health care I. T. professionals
is on the rise, with many of them coming from
different industries and needing training and
education. While we consistently have fresh
content within the pages of the magazine, our

our newly launched Healthcare Innovation

Resource Guide provides a one-stop source
that can be revisited throughout the year.

With my first year at Health
Data Management coming to a close, I’m
reminded how last year’s guide served as an
excellent tool for educating myself on the key
players within the health care information
technology space. While we consistently have
messaging from organizations within the
pages of th magazine and on our Web site,
HealhDataManagement.com, the Resource
Guide provides a one-stop source that can be
revisited throughout the year.
Many of the issues we were discussing
last year are still relevant today. EHRs, ICD-
10 and HIPPA regulations are s ill center to
many discussions. But they’re not the only
needs: executing strategic I. T. plans requires
health care organizations to get all he I.T.
pieces to fit into one cohesive clinical and
focus on EHRs, ICD- 10 and HIPAA regula-
tions, as well as executing strategic I. T. plans.
Meeting those challenges requires that mul-
tiple departments work together, using the
right technologies to power their infrastruc-
tures and tie together the the data silos that
still exist.
